Who I am

I’m Li Wei. I was born in Beijing and have been licensed as a tour guide since 2012. I’ve walked every open section within a day’s trip of the city, and somewhere past four hundred times to Mutianyu alone. I know the wall by distance and by hour, not by superlatives. I have opinions about the 10:00 wave, about the difference between a chairlift and a cable car, and about why Jinshanling is worth the longer drive.

What this site does

I research the Great Wall tours available on GetYourGuide, read through traveller reviews, and write up honest, practical guidance on which tour suits which traveller.
